SHADOWS at China Central Mall

Exhibition runs from 10am-5.30pm Mon-Sat March 19-26

Before we can draw the light and shadows we need to train our eyes to see like an artist.

Irish Minister Brendan Howlin TD will formally open the Preview of ‘Shadows’ an exhibition of contemporary Irish & Chinese art in which the artists explore the complexities of their own emotions, the society which surrounds them, investigating hidden areas of ambiguity, intimacy, fear and loss. This cross cultural conversation does not turn away from difficult issues and which celebrates the ability of our ‘Shadows’ to heighten and define space, to heighten and define our ideas, our perceptions and our sense of self. Exhibition curated by Fion Gunn, Niamh Cunningham and Ma Yanling.
